Finally! An update with pics!

Wowzers! It's been so long since I updated this thing. We have not had a single dull moment. Let's see. T has been very busy trying to fix vehicles and computers, our vehicles and others computers, besides work. I'm still working and going to school. A is engaged to P and they will have a June wedding. She just got promoted to full time at work and is excited about that plus going to school. J just got a job and today was his first day of orientation. He is doing well in HS. R is busy with babies and getting ready to move. JT is going to recruiter school next month and R and the babies will come here. We don't know where they will be stationed after that but we're praying it's much closer to us. Dad has done ok with his cochlear implant. It's easier to talk to him in person now but it's still a struggle on the phone. Mom was recently diagnosed with a circulatory problem in her legs and will pursue treatment when they get back from FL. Hopefully that will help with her leg/foot pain.

T, J and I drove out to CO for Christmas to be with R's family. T met his grandsons for the first time. Here he is with Thing 1.

Thing 2.

J is an excellent uncle and jumped right in to help take care of babies, everything except changing diapers! Like father, like son there 'cause T didn't change any diapers either!

The babies just chillin'.

The hill behind R and JTs place.

Thing 1 in his 1st Christmas outfit.

Thing 2 in his. He's a bit smaller than Thing 1 but he has big eyes!

Mac likes to lay right on the heat vent. Smart cat.

Thing 2 looking mighty pleased with himself for bopping 1 in the face. Ha!

All of us except JT took a ride to the other side of Pikes Peak and found a hill to go sledding on.

It was a beautiful day.

This is the other side of Pikes Peak.

We weren't home from CO for 24 hours when they called from basketball practice to say that J had hurt his leg. Turns out it was a grade 4 fracture of the top of the tibia. He was transported to Vanderbilt by ambulance. It happened on my birthday and he told me that the ambulance ride was his b'day gift to me.

They thought they might be able to set it so they sedated him and set it and casted it but it wasn't lined up well and he had surgery and 2 screws placed. Thankfully he has healed incredibly fast.

Turns out Trixie likes to sleep with her nose on the heating vent. Mac sleeps with his butt on it and Trixie with her nose. Ha! Smart critters.

I love this pic. Thing 1 with his daddy's boots, hat and dog tags and Thing 2 with mommy's boots, hat and a halter. So special.

I made these outfits before the babies were even born and couldn't wait for them to wear them. Thing 1 was fussy but I still love this pic!

Recent sunset. I do love a sunset!

Diesel on top of the roof. He's all boy, that one.

And in the van, helping daddy work on it.

A and P got engaged right after Thanksgiving. He went to her work and popped the question in front of all the co-workers and customers.

2 and 1 with Mufasa. 1 is doing a little hang ten, or something.

The babies have come so far. From preemies spending a month in NICU with oxygen and CPAPs and GI tubes to here right after they came home with their oxygen....

...to here at 4 months. No longer tethered to their tanks and doing so well. They have a few little issues but overall are doing really well. We are thankful.

This one cracks me up because 2 is flipping a little sideways bird, or something. And 1 looks like he's passed out drunk. Heathen children!

Some more random cuteness. 2.

1 getting a fistful of cat hair.

1 and 2.

2. Love this! I made these bibs at their parents request. Too funny.

The "pro" pics. Him kissing her kissing him kissing him. Precious!

Love.

More phone pics!!

I don't know what the heck's with blogger. First it will let me post as many pics as I want, then all of sudden it says I have reached my limit, then it lets me post pics again. ??? Whatever, I will enjoy posting pics while I can.

I know you missed seeing Diesel. 'Cause he is so darn cute. I love how cats can curl up somewhere, anywhere, cover their eyes and take a nap! Oh, if I could do that!

And talk about cuteness!! Is she not the cutest thing ever? And if you know her "in person" you know how funny she really is. And how she has so much to say to everyone she meets. She is the greatest cat, but only when she's not trying to attack Diesel for no reason.

Both cats have enjoyed the tree this year and have not turned it over so far. They like getting drinks from the tree too. And sleeping under it.

Gettin' our merry on. I found these Christmas bells where I work. I got a great deal on them considering they are selling on ebay for $40-100. They all work and they play 25 dif songs. The tone is awesome.

Nutter Butter snowmen. These were a big hit.

The "big reveal" for my dad's scout. My brother borrowed it and ended up turning it over and wrecking it quite a bit. He decided to rebuild it into a rock crawler without my dad's knowledge.

Dad said, "That's my scout?! I recognize the tires." He loves it.

Not a sunset, but still a cool sky pic. I love where we live.

With Oreo getting older and having the mass on her neck we decided to try letting the dogs in on really cold nights. They weren't real impressed with the warm house but they did great! Misty is looking at them like, what the heck are you doing in my house!?

Misty loves Christmas and playing in the wrapping paper. This is the "remains of the day".

Well, that's all the pics for now. I don't want to push it since blogger let me post some again.

J did great in his play, as did the rest of them. He's loving his new faux leather jacket he got for Christmas.

A did pass her math class and is thrilled about that. She starts job number 2 tomorrow as job number 1 has slowed down quite a bit for now.

P started his new job and got a pay raise the first day. I guess he's smarter than they thought he was. Yay for him!

R and JT will be coming to visit for a few days in Jan. Can't wait to see them!

Again, Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!!

We have been having fun so far this Christmas. R and JT stayed in CO so they could have a Christmas and anniversary alone together. They've always come here and kind of get lost in the shuffle of everyone's expectations so they are enjoying a white Christmas in CO.

We went to some friends last night, as we've done every Christmas eve for several years now. 14 or 15 years. We had a lot of fun.

This morning we opened some gifts, just the four of us, and then my parents came over for brunch. We are all way too full of really good food.

Now A and P are at his mom's house, T is napping and J is watching a Christmas movie. He's enjoyed quite a few so far this season.

Merry Christmas, happy birthday, Jesus, Feliz Navidad and Joyeux Noel!! However you like to say it we are celebrating God's gift to us today!

A few Christmas pics

Our Christmas was very busy. On the 23rd we went to R's bf's grandparents farm. They have an awesome place and we are thankful that they opened their home up to us for the day. We laughed and played music and ate and did a little sight seeing around the farm. It was cold and drizzly so we stayed in a lot but we did get T out to see the old bridge and dam and whats left of the old mill. Here is the bridge.

And here's the old mill. I guess the wood part of the structure burned several years ago. I was totally amazed at the cut stone work foundation.

You can tell that the block work is newer than the rest of the building. It's still quite interesting.

This is part of the turbines, if I remember right.

We had Christmas eve at our friend's house. We've been doing that for 10+ years. We always have a great time. This one of their dogs. You might recognize her from the parade pics.

Isn't she cute?
And here are the hosts.

And a Christmas pic of all of us (except J, sigh). Someone asked me the other day why R doesn't wear her contacts anymore. I explained that she discovered that it's very easy to just put her glasses on and she got lazy about it.

And here is one with R's boyfriend. Love those timer pics.

I hope your Christmas was wonderful. Ours was.
